If you are like many families this recruiting process can be confusing and overwhelming. Over the years, many people have asked me if there is anything out there that could “enlighten and clarify the recruiting process” for them. Up until last week, my answer would have been that “I am not familiar with anything”. Recently I was sent a book written by Wayne Mazzoni (he is the assistant baseball coach at Sacred Heart University) called “The High School Athlete’s Guide to College Baseball”. I have just finished it and I must say that it is current, easy to understand, and is very informative. I emailed Wayne and congratulated him on a project well done. I asked his permission to make all the recruits in my files aware of his book. The answer was a very enthusiastic “YES”! Hope this helps you. Coach Stotz, Associate Head Coach, Stanford University Baseball
You’ve put in the time in the classroom, the weight room, on the field, and you KNOW you can play college baseball. So what to do? Well, you can do what most sites or people tell you to do. Create a profile and send it to coaches. Well, that’s the business equivalent of having a resume and hoping it lands you a dream job. You know college coaches aren’t logging into websites to look for players. Just the way casting directors don’t log into sites to look for actors. What you need is the correct information on the baseball recruiting process.
Coach Mazzoni Has Appeared As A Baseball Recruiting Expert on Many National Media Outlets, Including
I was a talented high school athlete in two sports, had wonderful parents, coaches, counselors, and administrators, but when it was time to get help with the recruiting process, it was hard to find the information or the people with the time to help. Left to my own devices I walked on at a Division III school, played one sport my first year, and then my second sport, the remaining three.
Upon graduation, the only thing I knew was I wanted to be a coach. Since 1992 I have been a college coach and since that time have been in the position of being the one doing the recruiting. Let me tell you, the process is no breeze from this side either.
Due to this, I began a side business in the late 90′s of books, videos, articles, seminars, etc, on helping people understand all there is to know about this process. I’ve been lucky enough to have been on ABC, Fox, News 12, on WFAN, and in many papers and magazines around the country. I’ve spoken at over 500 high schools on the topic.
That’s enough about me. This is about you. It’s about you reaching your dream of playing baseball in college. It’s about your son finding the type of school where they will be happy in the classroom, in the dorm, and on the field. The recruiting process is not unlike the job search or even finding a relationship, but believe it or not, the cost of doing it wrong might be the most painful of them all. Sure changing jobs or careers is not easy, same as breaking up a relationship, but transferring schools is a very traumatic experience for a teen. Getting it right the first time is crucial.
I can’t give you the baseball talent (though I will do my best to motivate you to improve), but what I can promise you, what I can guarantee you is the most current and accurate information on the internet for the recruiting process. How do I know this? I’m a college coach. I pass the NCAA test every year, I have recruited more players then I care to remember over my now twenty year (oh god is it twenty!) coaching career. I’m not a recruiting service who got into the business only to make money, I’m not a parent who only helped his kids get into college and now claims to be an expert. I’m in the field and live it daily.
Whether you are a student, parent, coach, grandfather, brother, sister you likely have the same questions when it comes to college athletic recruiting;
Well, there is a lot to know, but here is the good news. If you know what you are doing the process can actually be FUN! You are only going to go through it once, so take your time, learn, and get it right. Being at the right school for you is a dream come true.
The information is all here to get you to your goal of playing baseball in college. As a former college athlete and current college baseball coach, I can tell you this, it’s worth the effort. The recruiting process is not always fun, but if you have the information, It’s like hitting with a 3-1 count.
I’m happy to offer a full 100% money back guarantee. The next person to take me up on this will be the first!

Coach Mazzoni – After receiving an email from Coach Stotz recommending your book, my son and I purchased it. It is a great book and full of invaluable information. I’d recommend it to any and all families that have children who wish to play baseball in college. I only wish I got the book a few years earlier – I would have done some things differently if I had know then what I know now as a result of your book.
